The Unanswered queue should help community members find questions that still need a response. Currently, it also includes closed questions and has no filter to exclude them.
While testing with my Champion account, 8 of the first 10 results were closed questions. The list was sorted by Recently Created, but after two recent questions, the remaining results were older, closed posts.
Those questions may technically be unanswered, but they are no longer active. Mixing them into the same queue makes it harder to find where a response would still be useful.
Requested improvement
- Exclude closed questions from the Unanswered queue by default.
- Add a clearly labelled “Show closed questions” option for anyone who wants to include them.
- Keep the Open/Closed filter separate from answer status. A question can be unanswered and closed at the same time.
- Preserve the selected filters when refreshing the page or moving between result pages.
Expected behaviour
Opening the Unanswered queue should show open questions without an answer. Closed questions should appear only when explicitly included.
This would make the queue more useful for everyone answering questions, especially Champions who use it regularly to find posts needing attention.
