How can a Forge Smart Link default to Card view?

Our Forge app unfurls Zoom Team Chat links in Confluence, but newly pasted links appear as inline titles. Can the resolver set Card as the default view?

When the user hasn’t connected their Zoom account, can the unfurl show a Connect button linking to our account-binding page? What response format or API supports this?

Hi Jean Gong, welcome to the Community! Taking your two questions in order:

1. Card as the default view. The resolver can't choose the view. The response format of the Smart Link module only carries the entity plus meta.access and meta.visibility. The view a newly pasted link gets comes from each user's Link preferences (avatar → Manage account → Link preferences), which is why your links show up inline. What you can do is tell your users to add the Zoom chat domain under Exceptions for specific domains with Card as the display. Links already on a page can be switched from the Smart Link toolbar.
2. Connect button for users without a Zoom token. For those URLs, return meta.access: "unauthorized". The module docs say the app should check whether the user has a valid token and, if not, trigger the authentication process, and that asUser() injects the user's token into calls to the remote system. I couldn't find any field that points the unfurl to your own account-binding page, though, so for that part I'd ask on the Atlassian Developer Community, where the Forge team answers this kind of question.
