Repo creation stuck

Question

I created a repo today and it is stuck saying "Please wait a moment while we create your repository". I found out afterward that there was an outage, I guess that contributed and now the repo is permanently stuck. Please fix that - either fix the repo or delete it so I can create it again.

 One addition to Germán's answer: Atlassian fixed BCLOUD-22265 in March 2026.

You can now delete repositories stuck in the CREATING state via the Bitbucket REST API:

DELETE /2.0/repositories/{workspace}/{repo_slug}

This requires the appropriate permissions. Make sure you're targeting the correct repository because deletion is irreversible.
