Of couse you do! It's hexagon, combines all the Atlassian primary colors and if you had to draw it from memory you'd certainly mess it up.
But read again. This is the Rovo Logo. I was asking about the Rovo icon…
I've come to the realization - and maybe you have too - that finding triggers for Rovo in the UI is not straight forward. Where you'd expect a small hexagon, you are met with a growing number of UI elements.
While this is confusing to users, it is also not helping in distinguishing billiable features from non-billable features come December 3rd.
Regard this as an open letter to all the UI/UX teams at Atlassian, to please clean this up 💙
Here's an overview of all icons I could find.
We'll start easy.
Rovo Chat - found in the upper and lower right corner of basically any Atlassian UI. You can trigger it from the Editor as well, same logo icon there.
Or you can go to the Rovo Chat, that has its own icon even though there is no difference.
Rovo Search isn't too obvious, just like it's a little obscure as to when the AI part is actually triggered.
Of course it has its own App icon as well.
If you want to create new content with Rovo you need to look out for the pen icon. That weird plus is supposed to be a sparkle and (assumingly) an homage to the old Atlassian AI icon.
If you only want to improve your writing with no additonal prompts, you have to swing the magic wand, which will be part of the context menu in Confluence or in the Editor menu in Jira.
The star is a reoccuring pattern. Remix has its own icon. To use remix through chat you should use the "create-infographics" skill. No icon, no "remix" - the feature branding has left the room apparently.
Summaries have the same icon everywhere (yay!) but don't always appear. In order to see comment summaries you need 3 (i think) comments. Page summaries in Confluence were nowhere to be found but one of my test environments did have Jira work item summaries right below the summary (@Dave Meyer - I now get why you thought about renaming that to title).
The sparkle (or star?) is back - all on its own. We can improve work items. This button doesn't trigger an action immediately but shows a menu with four options
All with their own icons without any sparkle - self-explanatory at this point.
More sparkles when Rovo suggested similar work, content or child items. Haven't yet figured out when this is triggered and when it isn't though. There is no button for it. Icon only appears when Rovo is already working.
Last but not least - they kept the original Atlassian AI sparkle in its original form in the Jira work item search. Not sure what AI this is, but it surely cannot be Rovo, can it?
Please fix this.
Thanks in advance,
Rebekka - who has to explain this constantly to Atlassian Admins and end-users alike.
