When form create that time not able to delete or hide summary field. Any way available to set fix value in form fill time
Hello @Keval Rana (CTR) ,
Short answer: you cannot hide Summary or give it a preset value on a request form. Atlassian’s request type docs say it directly: “Mandatory system fields, such as the Summary field, cannot be removed or hidden, because they are essential for work item creation and processing. However, you can change the display name of these fields on the request form.” The “Use preset value and hide from portal” checkbox is for other fields, not Summary.
What works instead, depending on what you are trying to achieve:
1. You just do not want people to see the word “Summary”. In Space settings > Request management > Request types > your request type > Request form, select the Summary field and change its display name to something that reads naturally (“Short title”, “What do you need?”). Same field, friendlier question.
2. You want the customer to answer your form questions and never type a title. Link one of your form fields to the Summary Jira field (Space settings > Request management > Forms > your form > select the field > Linked Jira field). The form question becomes the Summary, and the separate Summary field is removed from the request form so it does not appear twice. Pick a short-text question for this; Summary is a single line.
3. You want a fixed value every time. Keep a renamed Summary on the form (option 1) and let an automation rule overwrite it: trigger Work item created, condition request type equals yours, action Edit work item, Summary set to your fixed text or to a smart value built from your other fields. The customer types something, the work item ends up with the title you want. I use this pattern when the title must follow a naming convention; it is reliable because it runs after creation.
If you are on a plain Jira space rather than Jira Service Management, say so: the form builder there has the same Summary rule, and option 3 is the route.

Hi @Keval Rana (CTR)
Adding to the options from @Sami Shaik .
On the Request Type set the "Summary" field as hidden then you can set a default value each time, then there is no need for an automation to do this or to use the field on a Form.
@Marc -Devoteam- is right, and I was wrong on the first point. I quoted the request-form page, which says mandatory system fields such as Summary cannot be hidden; on a request type today the Summary field does offer Use preset value and hide from portal with a value box, and it saves. I checked it on a sandbox this morning.
So @Keval Rana (CTR) , the simplest route is Marc’s: Request types > your type > Request form > Summary > tick Use preset value and hide from portal, enter the fixed text, save. The form field link and the automation rule remain useful when the title must be built from other answers rather than fixed. Trust the product over the page on this one.
