Not able to paste text in Jira

Question

Pasting has worked until very recently (a few days at most) and I've pasted thousands of times and used Jira for many years.

Windows 11. Jira in Chrome. Pasting in other Chrome sites works fine. Tried ctrl shift V and also does not work

Thanks for the reply. It seemd to be two part: 1) anytime I paste in a code block, I have to paste TWO times and it only works the second time. I tested this 10+ times. 2) pasting in my browser wasn't working (worked in incog but did not work even when disabling all plugins, and worked in the address bar just fine). I fixed the second issue and the first one persisted, so pasting worked completely fine on all websites except Jira where I had to hit paste twice. We can resolve this. Thanks.

Does this occur only in Description and Comments, or also in the Summary field?

Try copying plain text from Notepad into both, and check if the issue happens in Edge or Firefox. If it does, report it to Atlassian Support if that recently started.

Here are few troubleshooting steps that you could try out to resolve the issue:

* Check Chrome's clipboard permission for Jira* In Chrome, open your Jira tab.
* Click the View site information icon (the sliders/padlock icon immediately to the left of the URL bar).
* Look for Clipboard.* If it is set to Block or Ask, switch it explicitly to Allow.

* If it isn't listed there, click Site settings:* Scroll down to Clipboard and set it to Allow.

* Reload the Jira tab and test pasting again.

* Log in to Incognito: Open incognito window —> Log into Jira and try the scenario

Does right click inside editor box and selecting Paste work, or is the option greyed out?
