Accounts Incorrectly Connecting

Hi There,

I am trying to login to one of my Trello Accounts and it keeps linking me to a separate trello account.

I think what may have happened is that I created an account with my Maiden Name (let's say like Jane.Smith@gmail.com) and then at another point created a second account for my new name (Jane.Doe@gmail.com). I think, without realizing it, I signed into my Jane.Smith account and updated the email to be "Jane.Doe@gmail.com" and now when I try to login (needing the access shared with Jane Smith) it is linking  me to Jane Doe and I don't have access to my shared boards. Can someone please assist?

Hello @Lee Pearson

Changing your email doesn't transfer Trello board memberships. If you can access the original account, use Trello's tool to transfer memberships.

Otherwise, a board admin can invite your current account again.

Hi @Lee Pearson !

Indeed this can be an issue here. For atlassian id account email address is very important. It allows you to login to that account. What I can suggest to you is:

* Login with Jane.Doe@gmail.com and see to what account did you get access
* Temporary change email address to different one (use temporary email)
* Login again (different browser) with same Jane.Doe@gmail.com email and check if you login to 2nd account
* If you have access to both account change email for account that had to use different email and keep Jane.Doe@gmail.com email for correct account

Other option is to raise request on support.atlassian.com and Atlassian support will help you with this.
