Could we bring back visible article view counts, along with a simple overview on our profiles?
As Community authors and Champions, we spend time testing, writing and updating content. Views help us understand which topics reach people and where it makes sense to invest more time. Comments and kudos only show part of that.
What would help:
- View counts for every article, including public group articles.
- Total views per author and selected article series.
- Sorting by views and filtering by publication date.
- CSV export.
Please keep the figures consistent between the UI and API, preserve historical counts, and explain any changes to how views are counted.
A simple overview would already make a big difference. 🤠
The interesting part is that the data still appears to be available through the Community API:
GET /forums/api/v2/discussions/{postID}
The response includes countviews, so the information already exists. It's just no longer visible in the UI.
