When an outage or a wave of similar requests hits, the first questions are always the same: who reported this, which department are they in, which office are they in, and who else is probably affected? Those answers exist in your identity provider. In Jira, the agent usually has to leave the issue, open the directory, and look the person up by hand.
That is the gap Mindpro Sync solves.
Sync pulls user attributes (job title, department, manager, location, and more) from Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD, Okta, Google Workspace, or OneLogin and displays them directly in Jira issues and the JSM portal. You choose which attributes to map, and the data stays current because it comes from the directory, not from someone copying it into a field.
A few concrete situations where this helps:
- Incident triage: an outage is reported. From the issue, IT Ops can see the reporter's department and location, and use the same attributes in JQL to find other requests from the same site or team, so impact is clear in minutes instead of after a round of questions.
- Location-aware requests: for hardware, facilities, or access requests, the requester's office is already on the issue, so the agent doesn't have to ask "which site are you at?" before acting.
- Manager and hierarchy at a glance: agents see the reporting structure in the issue, and you can choose whether the synced data is also visible to customers in the JSM portal.
- Consistent data after a merger or with several directories: connect more than one identity provider and consolidate user data in the same place.
- Reuse in your existing tooling: synced attributes are stored in custom fields, so they work in automation rules, JQL, filters, queues and dashboards.
Sync runs on Forge with many data residency options available and It is rated 5/5 on the Marketplace.

Question for the community: When a major incident is opened in Jira, how does your team find out which departments or locations are affected: asking the reporter, checking the directory, or something else?
