Disable the Auto Watchers in Confluence

Question

Hi,

Is there a way to disable auto watchers in confluence? I am using ConfiForms for users to submit records. I found out how to remove the users who submit the records by creating an IFTTT rule.

But i dont know how to automatically remove or disable watching the page if i click edit or make a change on the backend.

Any suggestions?

In the "Page watcher to remove" put [entry._user] instead. That will address the ConfiForms part, but for Confuence notifications - you cannot change it globally

This is still a "per user" setting :(

On top of what Arek said and related to ConfiForms, I'd also maybe recommend reaching out to Vertuna (ConfiForms vendor) directly: Support / ConfiForms - Data Forms & Workflows for Confluence 🎟️

Vendors are usually quite helpful and willing to assist and/or find some alternatives or a different approach if there are specific limitations to the system, or just guide you in the right direction 🙂

try adding another Remove Page Watcher IFTTT rule with onModified and [entry._user] instead of [entry.createdBy].

In case you're editing the Confluence page itself, that's likely Autowatch. You can disable it under Personal settings → Email → Autowatch.
