Analytics is now Insights: the home for data, insights, and analytics across your Atlassian ecosystem, now with Rovo-powered data exploration built-in. We’ve updated the name to reflect where we’re heading with the app.
We will be rolling out this experience over the course of the next few months. Read more about the changes here
What stays the same
For Enterprise customers leveraging Analytics, rest assured that as part of this change, your existing dashboards, charts, and embedded smart links keep working. You can keep working the way you do today for as long as you need during this transition.
Choose when to opt-in: Rovo Insights
Atlassian customers on Cloud Enterprise plans will soon see Rovo Insights as a new experience they can try within the Insights app. Org admins can turn on Rovo Insights to add Rovo-powered features on top of what you already have:
- Ask questions in plain English. Get SQL-backed answers grounded in your work and data context, with no SQL required.
- Build a shared data foundation. Metadata from connected sources syncs into a searchable catalog. Add glossary terms so common words have shared meaning across teams and AI.
- Create charts and dashboards faster. Ask, explore, create, and uncover trends and patterns in your data that you you may not have even known to ask.
- See the bigger picture. Connect third-party sources alongside Atlassian Data Lake, trace data lineage, and use data shares.

Try it without giving anything up
Turning on Rovo Insights doesn't replace your current experience – it sits alongside it. Once it's on, users can switch between the two anytime from the sidebar with Go to Insights or Go to Rovo-powered Insights.
Org admins will see a prompt the first time they open Insights. By selecting Not now, the prompt will tuck into the sidebar for you to try at a later time, so you can get back to your work.
What you’ll experience
A few Analytics capabilities, like access to the unpermissioned Data Lake and data shares, aren't in the Rovo-powered experience yet. You can switch back anytime to keep using these.
What's next
The approach we’re taking ensures existing workflows, dashboards, and visualizations that teams work with daily remain undisrupted as we make this exciting AI-native analytics experience for every Atlassian paid plan. Over time, we'll bring both experiences together into one unified Insights app experience. We'll let you know well in advance before anything changes.
Get started
- Open the app switcher and select Insights.
- Org admins: select Get started when prompted by the banner.
- This will allow users to toggle between experiences, as shown above.
- Ask your first question, or explore the catalog and glossary.
Our organization hasn’t enabled Rovo. Can I still access the Rovo Insights experience?
Insights app’s Rovo-enabled features are currently unavailable to customers who use Atlassian Analytics and do not have Rovo enabled. If you’d like to access Insights and its Rovo features, reach out to your organization admin to activate Rovo for your site. Read how to manage Rovo access
