Title: How can I permanently delete an Atlassian Cloud site after all subscriptions have been deactivated?
Hello Atlassian Community,
We need to permanently delete an old Atlassian Cloud site from our organization.
Site: jira-ecs-qa.atlassian.net
We have already completed the migration to our new environment, and this site is no longer needed.
Current situation:
- Jira Standard was deactivated on September 23, 2026.
- Confluence Free was deactivated on September 29, 2026.
- Loom Starter was deactivated on October 1, 2026.
- All these subscriptions appear under Inactive in the new Atlassian billing system.
- The old site is still listed in Atlassian Administration → Apps → Sites.
- When selecting the site, we are redirected to Site settings, where there is no Delete site option.
We have also tried contacting Atlassian Support, but we cannot create a technical support ticket because the subscriptions are inactive.
We reviewed the Atlassian documentation titled Reset and delete all data from your cloud site, but it seems to focus on resetting product data rather than permanently removing an inactive site from the organization.
Our questions are:
- How can we permanently delete this Cloud site when all subscriptions are already inactive?
- Is there a waiting period before the site can be removed?
- Can an Atlassian administrator remove the site manually, or does this require assistance from Atlassian Support?
- Is there an alternative support channel for this type of administrative request when no active subscription is available?
We want to remove only this old site and preserve our other active environments.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
