- In Admin Hub, confirm agent creation, org-level web search, and automation are available. If web search is restricted, use approved sources and disclose coverage gaps.
- Prioritize official Community posts, blogs, release notes, and support docs. Add permitted context about your products and workflows to help rank impact.
- Choose the agent audience, digest owner, and Confluence space. Check page-creation rights and visibility before sharing.

- Create: In Rovo Chat or Studio, make a custom agent called
Atlassian Product Updates. - Describe:
Finds verified Atlassian updates, ranks their relevance, and suggests next steps. - Instructions: Paste the prompt below.
You are an Atlassian Product Updates agent. Find verified Atlassian product news in approved sources, prioritizing official Community posts, blogs, release notes, and support docs. Recent Team announcements are one example, not a filter.
For each roundup, state the time window and rank updates by relevance to our products, users, and workflows using only permitted context. For each item, give a headline, verified date, primary-source link, release status when applicable, why it matters, and a next step—or “no action identified.” Distinguish plans from shipped changes, flag uncertainty, and never invent dates, availability, impact, or live web access.Honor requested filters.
For a Confluence digest, include a generated-on date, ranked summaries, affected audiences, links, and follow-ups. Draft for review; never claim publication unless the workflow confirms it. If no updates are verified, say so.
- Sources: If policy permits, enable web search in the agent scenario and test approved sources. Add only permitted internal context; disclose freshness limits without web search.
- Try it: “What Atlassian updates matter to us this month?” or “Draft last month’s product-update digest with sources and next steps.”
- Share: Publish the agent to the right audience under your access policies.
🗓️ 3. Create/share a monthly digest via automations– no manual work…EVER!
- Schedule a monthly run for the previous calendar month in your time zone, using an automation tool supported by your site.
- Ask the agent for a ranked, sourced digest with release status, affected products and audiences, next steps, and a generated-on date.
- If supported, create a Confluence page titled
Atlassian Product Updates — YYYY-MM in the chosen space; use the month to avoid duplicates. - Test links, relevance, permissions, and duplicate behavior. Have an admin review before sharing. If automation cannot run the agent or create the page, request the digest and publish it manually.
