Hi everyone. I’m researching how teams using Jira Service Management for external customers handle contractual credits after response or resolution SLA misses. By “service credit,” I mean a reduction in a customer’s invoice because a contractual SLA was missed, not a prepaid support-hours balance or Atlassian’s own uptime credit. I may explore a tool for this workflow later; there is nothing to install or buy.
If you’ve handled this in practice:
- Does a missed ticket trigger a credit, or does it depend on a monthly SLA attainment threshold?
- How do you match JSM SLA results to the customer, contract period, exclusions, and final invoice?
- Which parts happen in JSM, and which are handled in spreadsheets or a billing system? Who reviews the final amount?
An anonymized description is enough; please don’t share customer names, contracts, or ticket data. If your customer contracts have no such credits, that is useful to know too.
