Setting up Jira cloud sandbox same as Jira DC licensing

Question

I am posting this here since unluckily the support from Atlassian is taking weeks to resolve this.

We are a 500 Jira user account and need support to replicate our DC user licenses and 3rd party app to sandbox as part of our migration to cloud testing.

Can we have a good Atlassian contact who can help us?

There are steps to take before any migration.

Are you following Atlassian's documentation? Did you claim your domain? Are you using an external directory? Will you be using Guard?

If you need guidance, let us know as there are people within the community very familiar with migrations.

Also when you do a migration you can open a MOVE ticket with Atlassian.

Cloud sandbox user limits are tied to the linked production subscription, so a 50-user Cloud subscription restricts the sandbox to the same tier.

You have two options:

* Increase your existing Cloud subscription to accommodate 500 users.
* Use a separate Cloud Migration Trial, which can match your 500-user Data Center license. Selected Marketplace apps also qualify.

Note that migration trials cannot be applied to existing paid Cloud subscriptions.

I recommend contacting Atlassian Purchasing & Licensing, referencing your existing ticket and requesting assistance with temporary licensing for migration testing.

We have 2 instances. cloud 50 users and DC 500 users. the plan is to migrate DC to the current cloud so we grow this from 50 to 500 users.

The cloud comes with sandbox 50 users. thats fine.

However we need to have all 500 users in cloud sandbox for testing. This is taking so long to setup by Atlassian and need to know the best contact who can assist.
