Is there any workaround available to restrict agents from adding customers to the project?
I have seen the pending ticket below:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-5463
However, I would still like to know if there is any workaround, automation, or scripting solution that we can implement to restrict agents from adding customers to the project.
Hello @Jeya , There is no native setting to remove the "Add customers" button for agents (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-9183).
The best workaround is to go to Settings > Products > Jira Service Management > Customer access and either restrict account creation to approved email domains or disable portal-only account creation. This stops agents from adding external or unauthorized email addresses.
Thanks!!
Hello @Jeya
Are your question related to JSM Cloud or Server ?

Hi Jeya
Is this external customers? If you can explain more about the problem due to this , might be able to explore more on the workarounds.
Hello Arek,
JSM Datacenter 10.3.12 version
Hi Fazila,
for both.
Hello Shaik,
We are using Datacenter environment.
Hi Jeya,
My apologies. We are using Jira Service Management Cloud, so I can only provide Cloud-related workarounds.
For Jira Service Management Data Center, there is currently no native setting to remove or disable the "Add customers" button for agents.
Workarounds:
@Jeya
There's currently no native permission to prevent agents from adding customers.
You can take a look on Offficial Workaround CSS workaround
However, CSS or ScriptRunner UI modifications only hide the option and they don't actually revoke the permission. I wouldn't rely on them for security enforcement.
The feature request is still open: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-5463
