Hi Support,
It appears that my Confluence account has been suspended.
I was away and missed the email that reminded me to log back in.
Is there any way of re-activating my account ? Please advsie
Welcome @Raj Mehra
This usually happens if you were on the free instance of Confluence which gets deactivated automatically after 120 days of inactivity.
@Raj Mehra I've sent the request assistance to Atlassian. They will be in touch in next 3-4 business days.
Thanks for your note.
Is it possible to reactivate it ?
Hi Nicola,
Thank you very much for your help.
Kind Regards
Raj
Hello @Raj Mehra ,
I hope you are well.
I am very sorry to hear you’re having trouble accessing your data. I know how critical this information is to your team’s work, and I want to help you get some clarity on the status of your site.
If your site was deactivated less than 15 days ago, you should be able to reactivate it yourself by following these steps:
If you cannot see the site there or need further help: Because this involves your specific account history and private data, we need to move this conversation to a secure environment. Our Customer Advocate team will be able to investigate the backend status of your site and provide a definitive answer.
Please take these steps to reach them:
A note on our Free plan policy: To ensure we are providing the best experience for active teams, Atlassian has a policy regarding inactive sites (you can find the full details Track storage and move data across apps | Atlassian Support).
However, our Customer Advocates can look into your specific account to see if the deactivation was due to a different reason or if there is any remaining path for recovery. Please reach out to them as soon as possible so they can assist you further.
Kind regards, Manol
Hi @Raj Mehra ,
If your Confluence site was deactivated due to inactivity, you may be able to reactivate it, depending on how long ago it was deactivated.
If you are the billing administrator, try these steps:
If you don’t see that option, contact Atlassian Support at https://support.atlassian.com/contact and provide your site URL and the deactivation email.
Please act promptly: Atlassian’s current guidance states that free subscriptions retain data for 15 days after deactivation in its newer billing system. After that period, the data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
You can find the full instructions here: https://support.atlassian.com/subscriptions-and-billing/docs/reactivate-a-subscription/
Good luck!
