Board suddenly closed – original admin lost permissions

Hi Trello Support,

Our board "Sigridsvej" has suddenly been closed without any action from us.

I originally administered this board, but Trello now states: "You were not an admin on this board, so you cannot reopen it."

The board also shows no administrators to contact.

We have always used Trello Free, and both my partner and I have been using this board to track years of home improvements and completed projects.

I suspect this may be related to the dormant account cleanup issue that has affected other users.

Could someone from the Atlassian team investigate the board's admin history and help restore my administrator permissions?

This sounds very similar to a previously reported issue (TRELLO-1479), where deleting a dormant administrator account caused boards to become inaccessible.

Although the bug is marked as fixed, there have been a couple of cases where support staff had to chime in to manually configure problematic boards.

This sounds pretty similar to an issue Atlassian resolved earlier this year.

In that case, a Trello board was unexpectedly closed, the administrator list was empty, and nobody could reopen it. Atlassian confirmed that the dormant-account policy had deleted the original administrator account.

If you are definitely using the original account and no administrators are listed, I think the Trello team should investigate, especially given the previous cases.
