Hi Bitbucket Team,

Regarding the deprecation of Bitbucket native Issues and Wiki features for our workspace

1. Is there any way to temporarily access or restore these features?
2. How can we export or retrieve our existing Issues and Wiki data?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid there isn't much left inside Bitbucket itself. Atlassian removed both features on 20 August, and the update on the sunset announcement says users "will no longer be able to interact with either of the features via the UI or API", so the issue export went with them. I couldn't find temporary access or a restore option anywhere in that announcement or in the staff replies under it, and one reply from July says "all content will be deleted".

The wiki is where I'd still spend a minute, because it was a separate Git repository next to your code. When I tried a handful of public repositories at the weekend, the clone still answered on some of them in this form:

git clone https://bitbucket.org/WORKSPACE/REPO/wiki

That's only what I saw on those repositories and it isn't a documented route. If yours refuses, don't read that as gone: the error is the same "Authentication failed" whether the wiki is missing or you aren't signed in, so on a private repository try it with an API token before giving up.

Issues are harder. I found no equivalent for them, so Atlassian Support is the route that's left; on a similar thread at the end of August Bitbucket Support offered to raise a ticket for the person asking, though nobody has posted how that ended. Before you go there, does anyone on your team still have an export zip from before August, or an old local clone of the wiki?
