We’ve been listening closely to your feedback, and we’re excited to share 2 new features designed to make Atlassian Teams even more powerful and easy to use. Here’s what’s new.
Search for work items by team hierarchy
Save time and improve visibility into your team's work with the new descendantsOfTeam JQL function in Jira and Jira Service Management. This function allows you to quickly find all work items belonging to a specific team and any of its sub-teams, making it easier to track progress across your entire organization.
To get started with this change
- Go to Filters, then Search work items
- Enter a JQL query using the descendantsOfTeam function, for example:
- “Team[Team]” in descendantsOfTeam("<teamId>”)
- “Team[Team]” in descendantsOfTeam("id: <teamId>”)
- Select Search to view all work items associated with that team and its descendants.
Start typing your team name and click to select it from the autocomplete dropdown list
Updated permissions for team links
We’ve updated permissions for team links to enhance security. Team links can now only be created and deleted by team members or team admins (anyone with the manage teams permission in team types).
