Feature request -Native Idea Intake form in JPD for Contributors, similar to JSM & Portal

Question

I would like to know if there is a feature roadmap for JPD (Jira Product Discovery) where you have native ability in Standard JPD plan for 'Contributor' role to submit idea using a form. This exists in Jira Service Management but not in JPD. We don't use JSM.

This is a no brainer and will add value in a major way for many users of Atlassian JPD.

It would be great to have native built in out of the box feature to setup 'Submit form' and link so non-licensed users, simply can fill up form and submit ideas using Admin configurable JPD fields.

Ajay covered the native route well. Contributor forms work nicely for people with an Atlassian account. For people with no login at all, there’s no native public JPD form today.

If you’re open to apps, another approach you might consider is Smart Forms for Jira (developed by my team). It covers exactly this case:

* Share the form externally with a public link, or embed it on your website or a Confluence page. No Atlassian account needed.
* Each submission creates a JPD idea, with answers mapped to your JPD fields.
* No Creator license is needed for people submitting ideas.
* For public links, add CAPTCHA. If you also want an internal-only version, use “Verified in instance” access.
* Conditional logic and hidden fields keep the form short. For example, ask different questions for internal and external submitters.

One setup can serve both groups:

→ internal staff and external users submit through the same link

→ ideas land in JPD already structured, ready for triage

The same forms also work in JSM and Software spaces, in case you need intake elsewhere later.

* Yes we have 
* I am have found the option and way to configure it. Essentially under Space Settings - Features - Create Ideas , I have make sure to select my work item type. i.e. Idea. and then Select a 'View' , Based on whatever fields I have configured in that view, are the fields visible in the form. got it. that wasn't easily found as a method. All good.
* Share It . Fine works okay with Contributors with the log in.

Our intent to ask such question was that we have Internal and external users who we do not want to give any access/log in but simply a method of providing input in a form , similar to JSM and portal. But I see that there is nothing I can find in roadmap around such feature. Seems like a no brainer but all good.
