Inputting Work Log data on iOS

Hello Jira Community,

I find logging my time spent in each ticket really intuitive on the web.
But when I am working on someone else's computer, it is obviously a bit of a hassle to log in on their machine.

I would appreciate the ability to log work log data on each ticket with iOS, but I don't see an option to do so anywhere on an existing ticket.

I can see it on the web, and can still edit work logs on mobile, but I can't find how to add new work logs.

If anyone who is more familiar with Jira on iOS can help, many thanks!

Hi Alan,

On the Jira Cloud mobile app, logging new time goes through the Time tracking field rather than a separate button. Open the work item, scroll down to the fields section (you may need to tap to show more fields), find Time tracking and tap it. That should let you enter time spent, the date and a description, the same way the Log time dialog works on the web.

If Time tracking isn't listed at all, it usually means the field isn't on that work type's layout or time tracking is off for the space, so an admin would need to add it. Your account also needs the Work on work items permission in that space.

As a fallback when you're away from your own machine, opening your site in Safari on the phone and using the web Log time option works fine too.
