How do I reopen a Sprint?

Completed sprints (both Company-managed and Team-managed projects) cannot be reopened directly from the Backlog or Board view, however you can reopen them from the Reports section. Steps to do the same:

Navigate to your Scrum project.
In the left-hand sidebar, select Reports.
Select the Sprint Report (or Burnup / Burndown Chart).
Click the Sprint dropdown menu at the top of the report and select the completed sprint you want to reopen.
In the top-right corner of the report (next to the sprint name/dropdown), click the ••• (More actions) icon.
Click Reopen sprint.
Confirm the prompt by clicking Reopen.

Prerequisites:

Permissions Required: You must have the Manage Sprints permission (Company-managed) in the project's permission scheme (or be a Jira/ Board Admin).
- OR you must be an Admin of the project (Team-managed).
Parallel Sprints Limitation:
- Make sure your Jira site have Parallel Sprints enabled, then only you reopen a sprint if another sprint is currently Active on the board. You would need to complete or close the current active sprint first (or ask a Jira admin to enable parallel sprints in Jira Settings > Products > Jira Software configuration).
