I am wondering is there a way in the bitbucket UI to show only the "Merge" commits.
Something like only the green marked ones are displayed and the other red markers gets filtered out.

Bitbucket Cloud doesn't have a built-in merge-only filter in the commit list UI, so you're not missing a hidden setting. The workaround I use is git log --merges --graph --oneline locally, which shows just the merge commits with the branch graph. Worth filing this as a feature request for Cloud since BSERV-19084 was closed and that Data Center doc only applies to self-hosted.
Small correction on BSERV-19084, it's actually marked Fixed in 9.0, just Data Center only. It added a Show merge commits checkbox. Doesn't help on Cloud, and the Cloud API request for it, BCLOUD-14765, was closed for low interest.
Two more Cloud options on top of Dylan's git log:
1. Pull requests, filter on Merged. Each merged PR is a merge commit, unless it used squash or fast-forward.2. REST, the commits endpoint returns a parents list per commit. Keep the ones with two.
The PR list is the closest thing to a merge-only view in the UI.
An easy "fix" for this could be writing a user script for your browser that hides the non-merge commits. GreaseMonkey was a popular tool for these kind of customizations, but it is not really maintained these days.
This alternative looks like an active project: https://www.tampermonkey.net/
But even if it isn't, you should consider this approach, not the concrete tool.
