Not working clone, push, pull

Question

Hi,

i use a VScode extension for versioning, but in a few days i can't push, pul or do anything.

I've try also clone repository in other folder but reject login with invalid credential.

i saw that login in third part must have a apikey, that i gnerate it and not working yet.

try also force with the command git remote set-url origin https://MY_USERNAME:MY_APP_PASSWORD@bitbucket.org/WORKSPACE/NAME-REPOSITORY.git

but not working

I'm confused and desperate

i've try install virtual machine and everything it's ok.

However in original machine appears invalid credential....

I update git version from 36 to 56 but nothing change.

I don't know where password is saved

Hi @Elia Fratucello, the app password may be the issue here. Bitbucket Cloud stopped accepting app passwords for Git operations in June, so you’ll need an API token with repository read access for clone and pull, and write access for push.

I’d first try cloning from a terminal, outside the VS Code extension, using the HTTPS URL copied from Bitbucket. When Git asks for credentials, use your Bitbucket username (or x-bitbucket-api-token-auth) and the API token as the password. If it still rejects the login, check whether your computer has old Bitbucket credentials saved.

Also, I’d remove the password from the remote URL. If you used a real credential there, revoke it and create a new token.
