how Show full hierarchy in structure

Question

Josh · Answer

Hi Estephania, a bit more detail would help, but here are the two common meanings of "show full hierarchy" and how to get each.

If you mean native Jira (no Structure app):

* List view in the space: open the view options and enable hierarchy / "Show hierarchy" so children nest under epics (and subtasks under parents).
* Timeline: turn on inline hierarchy in the view settings so epics expand to show children.
* Global hierarchy (Epic → Story → Subtask, or your custom levels) is under ⚙ > Work items > Work type hierarchy. The space must actually use those work types; the global map alone won't show levels the space doesn't have.

If you mean the Structure Marketplace app:

* Open the structure > Automation (or the + generators menu) and add generators for Extend by issue links / Extend by Agile hierarchy (Epic link / Parent) so every level is pulled in.
* Use Expand all on the structure toolbar to open the whole tree.
* Check the structure's scope/filter isn't excluding child work types or other projects.

If you can say which of those two you're on (and a screenshot of what you see now), we can point to the exact click.

Are you referring to Issue/Work Type Hierarchy for Jira?

Keep in mind that while the Global setting will tell you what is where - the Space in question may not employ all Issue Types involved.
