Some of the issue types are not reflecting in the plan view

Question

We are observing that some issue types are not reflected in the Jira Plan. The hierarchy configuration appears to be incorrect or out of sync, resulting in missing issue types and parent-child relationships in the Plan view.

"Some issue types are missing from the Plan view due to hierarchy configuration issues(CAT-Program, CAT-Epic, CAT_Feature)." could you provide me a fix for the issue

Are you using Jira Cloud or Jira Data Center? Do you see menu options across the top of your screen or in a navigation panel on the left? The former would be Jira Data Center and the latter would be Jira Cloud.

As a user community we have no direct access to your Jira instance to investigate this issue. We can offer suggestions, but the debugging effort will need to be executed by a user that has administrative access in the Jira instance. Are you an administrator of the Jira instance? If not, your next step needs to be contacting the administrators of your Jira instance to report this problem.

Check Settings > Work items > Work type hierarchy first. Epic sits on level 1 by default. Program and Feature above it each need their own level, work type mapped in via "+ Create Level", or it won't plan above epic. That screen only applies to company-managed projects.

Next, the plan's Filter dropdown. There's a Hierarchy section with a From/To range and a "Show full hierarchy" checkbox. The range only spans levels that exist, so if it got saved as Epic to Subtask before Program and Feature were added, the new levels sit outside it, not missing, filtered out.

One more spot. Plan settings > Work in your plan > Removed work items, check "remove work marked Done more than 30 days ago".

Are the CAT projects company-managed, and do all three types even show up under Work type hierarchy?
