How can I export or extract the description field from Trello cards in bulk?

I need to migrate data from several Trello boards and I specifically need the card descriptions (the free-text field where details are written), not just titles or labels.

If I export a board using the "Export as CSV" or "Export as JSON" option, does that export include the description field for each card, or only the title, list, and labels? If CSV doesn't include it, does the JSON export contain it, and if so, under which field name?

Also, if there's a better or more reliable way to bulk-extract card descriptions (API endpoint, Power-Up, or third-party tool), I'd appreciate a pointer in that direction. I'm working with several boards and need a clean, complete extraction rather than opening each card manually.

Hi @Rodrigo Rojas here is info on the API endpoint to GET a field on a card (you're looking for the desc): https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/trello/rest/api-group-cards/#api-cards-id-field-get or https://developer.atlassian.com/cloud/trello/rest/api-group-boards/#api-boards-id-cards-get

Something like 1/boards/{id}?cards=all&card_fields=desc might work for you.

The Export as CSV or as JSON both would contain all card descriptions as the desc field on each card.
