CHANGE OF EMAIL FOR TRELLO

Question

Good morning!

I tried to change my email on my trello from joyce@nrtconsutling.net to jstovall@americanapartners.com and its not letting me because it says I already have an account for that email and Its not set up under trello!

How can I fix this?

need this resolved as soon as possible!

I’ve looked into this for you, and I can confirm that there is already an Atlassian account linked to your americanapartners.com email address. Since an email can only be tied to one account at a time, you’ll need to "free up" that email before you can move your old account over to it.

You have two ways to handle this:

Option 1:  You can simply delete the account currently using the americanapartners.com email.

Note: Once you start the deletion, there is a 14-day grace period before the account is fully removed. You’ll have to wait until that period ends before you can update your old account to this email.

Option 2: This is usually the best route if you don't want to wait two weeks.

Log in to the account associated with americanapartners.com (if you don't know the password, you can trigger a reset here).

Change the email address of that account to a different, temporary email (like a personal Gmail or a dummy address).

Once that’s done, your americanapartners.com email is instantly free!

You can then log into your old account and update the email to your preferred work address right away.
