Hi Community,

I’ve been looking into the overhead of evaluating Jira apps. It feels like the current "install one-by-one" process is a major bottleneck for many of us.

I'm curious:

How many apps do you typically "trial" before finding the right one?
Is the setup time the main reason you avoid trying new products?

When you say "apps", do you mean Atlassians products or third party plugins?

Apps like Didit Checklists or drawio one would find on the Atlassian Marketplace, for example, @Rune Rasmussen.

I think you're definitely on to something! Generally I read through reviews (when available) of the plug-ins in scope. I'll install the one that looks "the best" and run it through its paces to evaluate. If it's really feature-rich I might check out my "second choice" if it's less expensive and evaluate that one. In the end, it's the tool the best meets our needs considering cost. Setup time for each can be several hours, along with testing. I'll provide this input on your survey!
