RSS HTTP Authentication

Hi,

I am trying to create a kind of RSS feed application for android.

In Jira RSS Feed (Activity Stream) needs login info.

If i use this link in a browser i can reach the activity stream of selected project.

http://mywebsiteaddress/plugins/servlet/streams?key=myproject&os_authType=basic&os_username=myusername&os_password=mypassword</em<>>

In my android application code, retrieveRSSFeed("http://mywebsiteaddress/plugins/servlet/streams?key=myproject&os_authType=basic&os_username=myusername&os_password=mypassword",itemlist);
rssadaptor = new RSSListAdaptor(ProjectDetails.this, R.layout.rssitemview,itemlist);
In the code above if i try to connect an RSS without password requirements (only by changing the link), i can get the RSS Feed. How should i set the authentications? Thanks for your helping, Mihriban Minaz
