Modifying preferences-default.xml via a Helm Chart in K8S

Hello Atlassian Community,

I am looking to customize the preferences-default.xml file for Confluence deployed on Kubernetes using a Helm chart. Currently, I cannot find clear documentation on how to inject or modify this file through the Helm chart values.

Context:

• Environment: Kubernetes (K8S)
• Deployment Tool: Helm
• Application: Confluence 9.2.5
• Goal: Modify the default settings in preferences-default.xml without having to rebuild the Docker image or use manual post-deployment solutions.

You can declare an additional configmap and mount a custom file. See: https://github.com/atlassian/data-center-helm-charts/blob/main/src/main/charts/confluence/values.yaml#L1726
