I can't update the version. Offers only installation

I can't update the version from 1.7.4 to 1.7.7 the installer only offers select "Install"

I don't remember there ever being a version 1.7 of JIRA, it went to version 2 quite quickly. There weren't installers for it around those versions either.

I'm afraid I suspect you're talking about something other than JIRA, but you haven't told us what.
