How to remove confluence-administrators from global permissions?

We just test the new major release 6.0.2 and discovered that there are some differences between in place upgrade and clean install:

* We started with version 5.10.1.1 where we removed the confluence-administrators group and replaced it with a custom group from our active directory. After the upgrade to 6.0.2. all settings are as prior the upgrade: no confluence-administrators group is present.
* When doing a fresh installation of confluence 6.0.2, the confluence-administrators group cannot be removed at all.

Can you please give a reason why this group has been made mandatory? Do we need to add it again in case we want to proceed with the upgraded version?

Did not succeed: Neither with an active directory group nor using the build in 'confluence-users' ticking all boxes.

Hi Andreas,

Always must be at least one administration group.

Try to add your custom group to the global permissions, and then, try again to remove confluence-administrators.
