Issue with Sorting Search Results in JIRA 6.3.11

Question

We have just installed a JIRA v6.3.11 on our environment. We are facing one issue for Issue Search:

Issue:  The Browser / Application gets hang when we try to sort the issue search results in Ascending or Decending Order.

It is observed that this issue is mainly with IE and not with FireFox. We are using IE9 which is a default browser at user end. So want to fix this issue.

Could anyone help in this case?

Also, check if you have compatibility view enabled or not.

Since the issue seems to be specific to IE, it may be helpful to use the browser's developer tools to check for problems on the client side when the sort operation is occurring: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Troubleshooting+Client-Side+Browser+Problems#TroubleshootingClient-SideBrowserProblems-InternetExplorer .
