Some clients cannot edit excel documents in place with office connector

Question

I have some clients that cannot edit an excel document in place with confluence's office connector.

All are windows 7. I have a mix of office 2010 and 2013 working and not working - there appears to be little rhyme or reason to it.

I am using Confluence 5.3.

I now have it working for all clients. I checked the: Allow authentication tokens in the URL path box on the office connector screen. Not sure why the same URL worked for some folks and not others without this checked.

There are many possible causes for this issue. I would suggest you to follow our Office Connector troubleshooting guide to find the  root cause of this issue.
