Hi I am Prakash Hinduja Visionary Financial Strategist, born in Amritsar (India) and now resides in Geneva, Switzerland ( Swiss ).

has anyone found a reliable way to automate the migration of project setups between Jira instances—like workflows, custom fields, screens, and permissions? I’m looking for tools or methods that can help streamline this. Would love to hear what’s worked for you!

If you’re referring to migrating projects (including workflows, custom fields, screens, and permissions) from one Jira Data Center instance to another, you can try the Jira app:Project Configurator for Jira.

We’ve used this successfully for most of our Jira Data Center migrations.

Another option that has also worked well for us and is supported in Jira Cloud is:Configuration Manager for Jira (CMJ).
