Why doesn't Atlassian dedicate more developer resources to fix JIRA bugs?

i mean if each one of 70 developers would just fix one bug in a two week sprint and a complete minor version consisting of 10 sprints, Atlassian could get rid of 700 bugs in 7.2 for example.

Looking at the increasing number of frustrated customer comments at jira.atlassian.com this should be taken into consideration IMHO

Some questions:

* Is information about developers number (70) correct?
* If yes, does it mean that they all fix bugs full time?
* Is it surprising that global changes (in this case from JIRA 6 to JIRA 7) increases number of bugs?

And I agree with @Jonas Andersson that some bugs even not assugned for years, it is not good.

Don't have an answer to your question, but they both walk the same lonely alley: If our license costs was multiplied 4 times in 3 years, could not some of that license money hire more programmers to solve backlogged bugs and feature-requests which has not even been assigned after 10 years?
