We currently use a plugin called User Profiles for Jira to pull in certain attributes about a user from AD. For example, their department, their direct manager, their job title, etc.
What we like:
- Attributes display in issue search results
- Hovering over a user's name displays a window with the details
What we don't like (and are trying to solve for):
- These values can't easily be filtered on Jira dashboards (particularly with Rich Filters)
Example use case:
A service desk team wants to create a dashboard that displays a breakdown of completed support requests by the reporters' departments to easily track where most of the requests are coming from.
Do you have suggestions for alternatives that would allow for this level of detail on dashboards?
