Automation: Clone a request and set requesttype to current issue

Hello

I want to create an automation if you comment on a closed issue the closed one will be cloned with all the information including the request type.

I tried to set the request type but it says I dont have permissions. In the project settings the actor is an admin.

This is a know bug: [JIRAAUTOSERVER-1134] Automation rules cannot be published when coping the "Customer Request Type" field from relevant sources in "Clone issue" or "Edit Issue" actions - Create and track feature requests for Atlassian products.

We could fix it with the mentioned workaround.

My bad on cloning the request type can't be cloned.

In the branch in the rule, do an edit action to set the request type.

It seems like it does not work either sadly:

There is also the option of "Creating a Service Request" but it is not possible to copy the request type of the trigger request..

We usually have Bots Accounts with user rights

It is the built-in actor that is defaulted to for new rules. Go to the rule details page of the rule and see if you can change to Automation for Jira
