How to customize the JIRA Issues summary page

This question is in reference to Atlassian Documentation: Browsing a Project's Issues

Out of the box, JIRA issues summary page shows summary for all unresolved issues. We would like to customize this page to show summary of all issues (both resolved and unresolved) and also include more sections for Issue-Type wise Status-wise summary and others.

Please guide us on how to customize this issues summary page.

Have you looked at the numbers to see how many issues you'll be trying to display if you include resolved issues also? It could be VERY large. Unless you mean you have a status named Resolved, you'll be displaying all the closed issues.

You will have to write a new plugin to add a new web panel, that shows everything you need.
