How do I search for the text string "OCCB-DR-180?"

We have a JIRA text string that contains two dashes. I have tried just about all of the suggested ways in the JIRA On-line help to search for the string, but no luck. The latest search I tried was a simple search using OCCB\-DR\-180 but it didn't work. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

you can also search the string in Simple Searching Pane by covering the string with double quotes.

In my JIRA 5 works fine without any escaping. E.g. the following JQL query returns proper results

summary ~ OCCB-DR-180 OR description ~ OCCB-DR-180 OR comment ~ OCCB-DR-180

You need to put the value in double quotes and use the tilde (~) operator e.g.textfield_name ~ "OCCB-DR-180"
