Get absences from API

Hey

I'm trying to get absense for severel for bigpicture using the API but i can't seem to get any response from the API

I've read the documentation and is very unsure of what the userid shoud be

I'm trying to call this where JIRAUSERXXXX is my UserId from the settings page in bigpicture 

baseUrl/rest/bigpicture/1.0/public/ppm/resources/EXT_USER@2@JIRAUSERXXXX/absences

The API just gives a 403 code in return

Any idea how to get this data ?

The 403 response you're seeing suggests that authentication was successful, but the request wasn’t authorized. So, it's likely not an issue with the token itself.

From what you've shared, the URL pattern looks correct. It should follow this structure:

{baseUrl}/rest/bigpicture/1.0/public/ppm/resources/EXT_USER@2@{JIRAUSERXXXX}/absences

Where:

• {baseUrl} is your Jira instance's base URL
• {JIRAUSERXXXX} is the user ID, which you can find under My Settings → Profile → User ID

To investigate further and resolve this, we’d need more context, such as whether Jira is being proxied, what the logs show, or any additional information in the response.
