I am forwarding emails to my trello cards, which are really looong. Is there a functionality or feature that allows to expand / collapse each comment in the trello card?

If you upgrade to Premium, you'll be able to use our Atlassian Intelligence feature which summarises emails send to your board: https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/creating-cards-by-email/#Summarize-emails-with-AI
