How on earth do I close the new sidebar inbox? There seems to be no obvious 'close' function to collapse it.

You can use the switcher to close it.
I don't have that. All I have is this...and nothing is clickable.
Hi @Erika Wadlow - what I've screenshotted is at the bottom of Trello on the middle of your screen, not in the Inbox sidebar.

Now I have lost half the screen instead of one column.
