Can't delete user from groups who previously was the jira administrator

Question

Good day,

I can't delete user from groups who previously was the jira administrator.

While deleting him from 3 groups they can't be not deleted. Though it is possible to add new group for the user and then delete it.

How to resolve the problem?

JIRA version: 6.1.3

Ok, that's ruled out everything I can think of, I think I'd want to raise it with Atlassian.

return to list of users where the user still has the groups(looks like refreshing the page). Yes, I'm also added to these groups.

Ok, what exactly happens - you click "remove" and get a blank screen? Returns to list of users? Returns to the user and shows them as still in the group?

Are you in the same groups that you are trying to remove the user from too?
