Task as a child issue of an Epic causes Jira Plan timeline view to not show the progress bar column, more specifically the Progress (Issue Count) bar. 

Here is an example. Top epic only has tasks as the issue type as its children, second epic has Stories as the issue type as its children.

Is there a way that I can configure Jira to allow task issue type to roll up to Epics and show the progress bar at Jira Plans Timeline level?

Hi @Jasmin Sehic and welcome to the Community!

As far as I know, there is absolutely no reason why different issue types would be considered differently to display progress against their parent epic.

A couple of things that might be causing this (your screenshot is not providing enough information to get a good idea of the root cause in your situation, as child issues are not displayed in it):

• make sure your tasks are in your plan. Check your plan's issue sources and/or expand the epic to make sure they are there.
• check your tasks' workflow and make sure they are properly set to a done status (and have a value for resolution set when they are completed).
