how to change verification email account

I am unable to login to my Gmail account to retrieve the verification code being sent while i try to login to Atlassian. Retrieval process for Gmail account is not working either. I am requesting Atlassian team to kindly change the retrieval email id of below address to my official email id.

As this is the public forum, not sure i should share other related credentials but sharing the url below. Any tip to resolve will greatly appreciate.

Based on my experience, changing the verification email address typically requires access to the original email account for verification purposes.

If you cannot access your Gmail account to retrieve the verification code, and recovery isn’t possible, you’ll need to request Atlassian to update your account details manually.

For security reasons, I suggest contacting Atlassian support directly to request assistance in updating the verification email. You can open a ticket at https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/.

Situation is, its been a week i updated the content of website and i am unable to login to bitbucket. I need to update my office website at the earliest.

Let me detail the situation for better understanding.

I am the person who has been updating & managing the https://undphealthimplementation.org/. The code repository resides on Bitbucket using gmail email id. while i enter the required gmail credentials, it has been sending verification code to the gmail account that we are unable to get access to.

Now, as i need to update the website and ensure i get login, i am requesting Atlassian to update my official email id to get the email verification code, so i could login to code repository and update our website.

I am the admin of this workspace and i myself unable to login and i am struck.

i am happy to validate to atlassian team that i am the person who is managing the workspace. Now unable to login - have been logged-out completely with only hope Atlassian team can let me enter.

I see that you created a support ticket as well for this issue.

As my colleague informed you, I'm afraid that we cannot make changes in the primary email of Bitbucket accounts for security reasons. Additionally, the Gmail email address you provided in the ticket is not an administrator of the workspace or the repository you listed.

You will need to do either of the following:

Regain access to the account's email address so you can verify that you own the email address.
Ask the owner and admin of the repository to grant access to this repo to your new email address.

If you open the link https://bitbucket.org/<workspace-id>/workspace/repositories/ where <workspace-id> replace with the ID of the workspace where this repo belongs, you should be able to see the name we have on file for this workspace right below the top menu bar, so that you know who to reach out to.

Just a heads up, I removed the repo URL and other names from you post for privacy reasons.

If you no longer have access to the Gmail account receiving the verification code, Atlassian support will probably need to manually verify your identity before changing the recovery email address.

I would avoid sharing any sensitive credentials publicly because these forums are visible to everyone. Usually, support teams handle ownership verification through secure tickets or recovery forms instead.

I recently came across some useful verification assistance details explaining how portal verification and recovery systems can get stuck when access to an old email account is lost, and the situation sounds somewhat similar here.

Hopefully their support team escalates the request and updates your recovery email after confirming account ownership.
