From Address field in confluence mail server configuration not being used

Seems that the From Address you specified in Mail Server section in Confluence Admin is not being used.

I am using Gmail as SMTP server and the mail triggered comes from the mail specified in the resource for login into the gmail server (see this), not from From Address.

This is confluence 4.2.11

In Jira 5.1 is the same, the From Address you fill is not being used.

Is this a known bug?
