I have a bug with {title} in soy template file.
{title} in soy template file.
Any suggestions on what is wrong ?

I'm also trying to achieve something similar. Have you had any luck trying to get it to work?
Same problem in 2016 as well. Reason is: {title} compiles as Soy start tag.
But I found workaround:
data-template="{literal}{title}{/literal}"
